Wait, Common Core advocates have endlessly claimed that standards do not dictate curriculum or pedagogy, but here we have another real-world example of how all three are connected. It looks like “tight-loose” is yet another DC slogan persuasive only to those who have been electronically lobotomized by Twitter.

Common Core advocates only admit to the ways in which Common Core dictates curriculum and pedagogy in accidental moments of candor, such as when NCTQ judged each Ed School based on whether it “trains teacher candidates to teach reading as prescribed by the Common Core State Standards.” (http://educationnext.org/nctq-doesn%E2%80%99t-know-what-works/ )

It’s so much easier to keep your story straight when you just tell the truth.
