Next month, education officials in Massachusetts will decide whether to abandon the state’s much-praised MCAS test and adopt the Common Core-aligned PARCC test. An article by Michael Jonas in Commonwealth magazine explores the issues involved.

Yesterday, the editorial board of the Boston Globe urged “Adopt PARCC–and ignore the political noise.”  Jim Stergios of the Pioneer Institute responded “PARCC doesn’t cut it; stick with MCAS.”
