Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, will deliver a speech today in which she proposes that teachers be evaluated based in part on student test scores. An article by Linda Seebach that appeared in the Winter 2009 issue of Ed Next examined the policy positions Weingarten was beginning to stake out when she first became president of the AFT.
