Hoxby, Peterson, Greene, Wolf, Howell, et. al., have pursued an intellectually honest tack.  They portray apples and apples.   

But, is honest scholarship powerful?  Despite prominent coverage of the Hoxby study in the Wall Street Journal (news and editorial),  will the politics change?   Will opponents of non-union charters reconsider their positon?  

I suspect not.  If so, what is the appropriate response?</description>
