A new article on the Ed Next website, “Bye-Bye Blackboards,” by Mike Petrilli, looks at interactive whiteboards.

While some people are asking whether it makes sense to spend thousands of dollars on a tool that makes stand-and-deliver instruction easier instead of investing in individualized, self-directed online learning, Mike wonders whether interactive whiteboards might allow teachers to be just as effective with a class of 30 students as with a class of 20 students.
