The Education Writers Association‘s national seminar last month included a panel on charter authorizers. What difference do good authorizers make, and is authorizing getting better?

Speakers included Brian Gill of Mathematica, Alex Medler of the National Association of Charter School Authorizers, and Will Pinkston of the Nashville School Board.
