What We’re Watching: State Education Agencies: The Smaller the Better?

The Fordham Institute hosted a panel discussion on Thursday, April 24 at 10:00 am on whether state education agencies can tackle all that education reforms require, or whether shrinking them and assigning their duties to others would make more sense.

Chester E. Finn Jr. moderated the panel, which included Deborah A. Gist, Commissioner, Rhode Island Department of Education; Mark Murphy, Secretary of Education, Delaware Department of Education; and Andy Smarick, Partner, Bellwether Education Partners.
