Charters are part of the orchestrated effort to destroy public education. The charter idea was co-opted long ago and is now less attractive and far more evil and corrupt than Frankensteins monster. http://www.scribd.com/doc/2304695/The-Corporate-Surge-Against-Public-Schools

How is education going to be the leading force it was intended to in this nation, with a population percentage that believes the schools are to raise, feed, and "make our children the best", when a major portion of these children are growing up in multiple-partner, addictive behavior marriages? I grew up in ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS, PUBLIC SCHOOLS. No one would have been caught dead not graduating from high school. Our mothers worked and saw to it that we were performing in school! Not graduating was due to suicide or sickness. At that point one could graduate in August of the year and still be considered graduated as of June. The charter school is surviving due to the fact that it is presented as a system of "instant success" because it has erased the "evils" of the public school. In reality, teaching or educating any group of children is going to be what it is-instilling information to formulate skills for existing in a society. If people do not value life beyond earning enough money for the Cadillac, the stereo, the motor cycles, what good is education at all? The skills necessary for the acquisition of these goods is not that extensive. Leading a quality life is. If the quality of like in America is going to thrive so America can continue to be the world leader it used to be (pre-New World Order infusion), Americans are going to have to want it. If people do not care about the quality of their lives and being the "best they can be", it is no wonder that the test scores are as low as they are. Education is what it is-the inculturation process of instilling the skills vital to existing in a society so that society can perpetuate. When an eighth grade student is performing at 59% in Language Arts and is not assessed as Dyslexic, what is the problem? Education, whether it is administered or housed in the setting of public or charter does not change the level of respect!
