What We’re Watching: James Tooley at Cato

James Tooley, author of  The Beautiful Tree: A Personal Journey into How the World’s Poorest People are Educating Themselves, will be speaking today (Monday, October 7) at the Cato Institute at noon.

The event will be streaming here.

In “Private Schools for the Poor,” an article based on the book that appeared in Ed Next, Tooley explores the phenomenon of private schools that have sprung up to serve the world’s poorest citizens and looks at why these schools are so effective.
