In this video, which a Forbes writer has called perhaps the best speech ever about education, Colorado State Senator Mike Johnston addresses a Teach For America dinner in Connecticut.

In the speech, Johnston talks about his work as a principal in Colorado. The graduation rate at the school had been 50 percent. In his first year, Johnston got that up to 100 percent, with all students admitted to college.

Nick Morgan concludes, “Watch the speech and reaffirm your faith in teaching and teachers – and most of all students.”

Great role model to all principals and educators.

My truth and hope lie in efforts to propel Montessori into the public sector and a real choice for all families and all children. Please see
