What We’re Watching: The Reading Paradox and the ESSA Solution

On Tuesday, May 11, 2016, at 10 am, Fordham will host an event to examine how the Every Student Succeeds Act gives states an opportunity to boost reading comprehension. Panelist will discuss how the new federal education law allows states to encourage districts and schools to build students’ content knowledge and vocabulary by focusing on science, social studies, and the arts rather than teaching reading as a skill.

The event is co-sponsored by the Knowledge Matters campaign.
