According to a new survey by The Washington Post and the Kaiser Family Foundation, former D.C. schools chancellor Michelle Rhee is viewed more favorably now than she was before she resigned last fall. Today, 55 percent of all adults living in D.C. approve of the job she did in office, which is 11 percentage points higher than her rating from late last summer. In a new review of The Bee Eater, Richard Whitmire’s book about Michelle Rhee, Mark Bauerlein reminds readers of the numerous culture clashes that characterized Rhee’s tenure.
