What We’re Watching: Two Charlotte Schools Choose an Opportunity Culture

Two high-need schools in Charlotte, North Carolina are trying something different to help their students catch up with students in more advantaged communities. They are embracing an “opportunity culture” which uses blended learning and multi-classroom leaders to extend the reach of great teachers. The strategy, which works within existing budgets, gives teachers more time to plan, collaborate and improve.
