Participation in the Advanced Placement program has grown from 330,000 students in 1990 to 2.2 million in 2013. A new study finds no signs that quality control for the program has declined in this period of rapid growth. The study also found that the number of small and rural schools offering AP classes, which rose between 2000 and 2008, declined from 2008 to 2012
