John Katzman
John Katzman is the founder and Executive Chairman of 2tor, which works with top ranked research universities to create and administer high-quality online degree programs. 2tor’s partners include the University of Southern California (USC), Georgetown University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Katzman forged 2tor’s partnership with the USC Rossier School of Education, the MAT@USC . The innovative program has won several awards while becoming the fastest-growing teacher preparation programs and one of the largest trainers of new STEM teachers in the U.S.
Prior to founding 2tor, Katzman founded The Princeton Review, and served as its CEO until 2007. At that time, the Review helped over half of the students applying to US colleges and universities each year find, get into, and pay for school. Further, it worked with hundreds of colleges and K-12 school districts to help them improve educational outcomes and university admissions.
Katzman is the co-author of five books, and has helped launch several start-ups (most recently Noodle, a startup aspiring to be Google for education). He serves on the Boards of Directors for several non-profits, including the National Association of Independent Schools, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, and the Silver Shield Foundation.
