When the No Child Left Behind Act is reauthorized, will it include annual testing? Congressional Republicans have hinted that annual tests may be on the chopping block.
In a speech on Monday, Arne Duncan said that annual testing is critical for measuring educational progress. This weekend, a coalition of 20 civil rights groups said that preserving annual testing was one of their top priorities. State education chiefs have also called for annual testing to be preserved.
