An article in the Washington Post reviews the findings of two studies of the impact of charter schools published this year by Macke Raymond and Caroline Hoxby. Over the years, Ed Next has published a number of charter school effectiveness studies, including a randomized field trial conducted in Chicago by Caroline Hoxby and Jonah Rockoff that found that younger students benefit from attending charter schools.
